Drop Dead: The Cabin ~ Study

Drop Dead: The Cabin is a game created for the Quest 2 in 2023.
The cabin was designed to look like it was owned by Doctor Monday, the eccentric scientist villain from the Drop Dead universe, but it was abandoned in the 1980s. As a result, much of the furniture features a mismatched blend of styles from different eras, and the technology is bits of bodged together 1980s equipment.
The study is likely the room the player will visit most in the cabin, featuring the computer that players interact with. I was responsible for most of the 3D work in this room, working from concepts and feedback from Gabriella Wouts and Gareth Morrison, and trying to create a consistent feel throughout the cabin.

I created this wallpaper texture to look like a Victorian damask pattern from a distance, but up close, there are creepy faces in the design, which mostly show through in the specular map.

The office chair is an amalgamation of modern office chairs, Victorian barber shop chairs and chesterfield wingback chairs. I especially liked the end result of this chair.

Examples of display cases that I created, containing some curios that reflect the eccentricity of Doctor Monday. They are used throughout the game but were initially created for the study.
